CMA CGM’s Containerships arm has launched a new service between of Hamburg, Rotterdam and Teesport. The DUKE service will operate weekly and will also offer intermodal access across mainland Europe and UK with a daily connection from Italy to Rotterdam by rail.

Containerships is to increase the frequency of its BENI route between Rotterdam and Dublin from two to three per week from 3 February. The additional sailing adds leaves Rotterdam on Saturday and arrives in Dublin on Sunday evening. One loop of the service also services Dunkerque and Cork.

Rob Waterman has been appointed as chief executive of Containerships – CMA CGM GmbH based in Hamburg. He replaces Claude Lebel who is retiring. Waterman has been chief executive of CMA CGM (UK) Shipping since March 2013, based in Liverpool.
