Delta Air Lines has appointed Alan Lavender as its new area sales manager for its UK Cargo division. He was previously key account manager at Cathay Pacific.

Delta Air Lines says it will operate from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to London Heathrow Airport from 29 March 2014 in anticipation of receiving antitrust immunity later this year for its joint venture with Virgin Atlantic Airways. The route will be operated by 767-300ER passenger aircraft.

Delta Air Lines has named Tony Charaf as chief cargo officer, replacing Neel Shah, who recently stepped down from the position. Charaf, a 16-year veteran of the company including four years as head of Delta Cargo, will maintain his current role as president – techops.
