Ferry freight space deal clears first hurdle

The Competition and Markets Authority says it intends to accept commitments by DFDS and P&O Ferries over their plans to share capacity for driver-accompanied freight shipments on the Dover-Calais route. However, it will now consider any representations from third parties before making a final decision on whether or not to accept the plan. Any responses must be made by 5pm on 4 July. [+]
