Shipping and logistics operator DFDS has ordered 100 electric trucks from Volvo, one of the largest purchases of heavy-duty vehicles to date. The new fleet will be implemented throughout Europe during 2022 and 2023. The Volvo FM Electric truck can carry a maximum weight of 44 tons and can travel up to 300 km when fully charged. The trucks will be used for short and long journeys.
