Better barging by DP World

DP World is to launch a premium barge service between its Rotterdam World Gateway and the Upper Rhine region from 1 February. By ‘bundling’ containers in the hinterland, it is possible to call at only one terminal in Rotterdam in a fixed schedule. This in turn will improve reliability and reduce emissions per teu due to the higher load factor of the barges and the reduced port stay.  [+]
