FedEx Express Europe is now using renewable diesel made from organic matter or waste materials for some of its trucks in the Netherlands. From the beginning of November, FedEx Express instructed drivers of heavyweight, long-distance vehicles to refuel using renewable diesel as an environmentally favourable alternative to fossil-fuel diesel. FedEx announced in March 2021 that it planned to achieve carbon-neutral operations globally by 2040, includes all owned and operated transportation.
