Workers and firms unite to improve driver treatment

The Global Shippers Alliance (GSA), the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) have launched a Driver Charter to improve how people are treated at collection and delivery sites.It also aims to address some of the barriers to recruitment in the industry, especially for women and young people, in order to equitably solve chronic driver shortages.
