Hapag-Lloyd says it will be the first operator in the world to convert large container ship to use liquefied national gas (LNG). It plans to retrofit the 15,000teu Sajir, one 17 vessels in the fleet designed to be LNG-ready, to operate using either LNG or low-sulphur fuel oil.
