Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) has resumed its regular European Container Line (ECL) service between Northern Europe and ports in the Persian Gulf following its closure in mid-2010 on account of sanctions. The new service will be operated by 2,500teu vessels calling at Hamburg and Antwerp, Genoa, Istanbul, Port Said and Bandar Abbas.
