Live animal exports resume through Ramsgate

The High Court has overturned a temporary suspension of live animal exports from the Port of Ramsgate, the BBC reports. Thanet District Council ordered the suspension after two separate incidents in which 45 sheep died on 12 September. However three Dutch companies have appealed against the ban, forcing the council to re-open the port to exports immediately, despite objections by the council.
