Marine lawyers Holman Fenwick Willan have donated more than £60,000 in cash and £40,000 worth of legal services to the Chauncy Maples fund which aims to rebuild a river steamer in as a floating clinic.
Malawi's Ministry of Finance has also confirmed that the project will be exempt from import duty and fuel duty, which will save about £500,000 and speed up the renovation.
