Italian Rail signs Amazon deal

The Italian Railways’ (FS) Mercitalia Logistics arm has signed a deal with Amazon to transport goods between Amazon fulfilment centres in Germany and Italy. As well as reducing emissions and congestion, the project will also help Amazon optimize inventory handling and reduce delivery times, say the partners.
