Barge to shuttle Stockholm boxes

May 2021 sees the start of Sweden’s first inland waterway container barge shuttle between Hutshison Ports’ new Stockholm Norvik port and Västerås. It will be operated twice a week by the German shipping company Deymann, using the 208teu shallow-keeled Emelie Deymann. It is expected to reduce road congestion and carbon emissions. [+]
