Toll to built giant new Melbourne hub

Toll Group is building a AUS$150 million (£84m) freight sorting facility at Melbourne Airport, the largest of its kind in Australia. Work has started on the 71,000sq m facility which will help increase the capabilities of Toll’s dedicated online parcel delivery service, Toll Consumer Delivery and triple our current parcel sorting capacity in Melbourne to 35,000 parcels per hour. Hugh Cushing, head of logistics provider Toll Group’s global forwarding division, is to retire in November 2013. Paul Coutts, currently Toll Global Forwarding’s product, marketing and sales director will take over the role from February this year. [+]
