Tilbury honoured

The Port of Tilbury was presented with an Olympic torch by games organizer LOCOG on 13 December for its part in delivering what is described as the biggest peacetime logistics operation.

LOCOG said Tilbury was able to scale up its operation at short notice and take delivery of a diverse range of products – from sand for the equestrian events to bean bags for the athletes’ village.
