Timber terminal for Gothenburg
[ December 10, 2014 // Chris ]The Port of Gothenburg has opened a new transloading terminal for timber products to serve exporters in the Nordic region, run by family-owned company Sören Thyr. Although paper, pulp and timber products account for a large proportion of exports through tGothenburg, up to now, the port has lacked a dedicated terminal for transloading sawn timber products. The new forest terminal is adjacent to the port’s ro-ro and container terminals and can handle more than one million cubic metres of timber each year.
