Torque’s drive lands golf deal
[ May 31, 2013 // Chris ]Golf clothing specialist PING Collection Europe has appointed Torque to provide a full end-to-end international logistics service. The independent specialist will supply freight, warehousing, pick and pack, and fulfilment of all PING Collection Europe’s wholesale, retail and e-commerce orders, from factories to point of sale.
PING Collection Europe, based in Cheadle, Cheshire, designs, sources and manufactures golf clothing distributed across the UK and Europe. Torque will handle hanging and boxed garments and carry out quality control on receipt of inbound clothes. Torque may later provide further services, including re-working and embroidery.
The two organisations have signed an initial two-year contract, with a rolling year after completion.
Torque’s , business development manager, Stuart Greenfield said: “We began our connection with PING Collection Europe by providing import and export freight services and later added all of the brand’s air ocean and courier services. We’re delighted to now be appointed PING Collection Europe’s overall third party logistics provider and are looking forward to working with its people to enhance service levels even further in the future.”
