Trains, ferries and ships at Teesport
[ June 17, 2015 // Chris ]PD Ports says it has implemented the UK’s first cross-platform terminal operating system at Teesport. Following implementation of the new system across Teesport’s container terminals in 2013, it has now introduced the ro ro module into the ferry operations, and the system is now integrated and fully operational. The new Navis technology allows the port to operate from a single, unified platform across the container, rail and ferry operations. It provides real-time information for customers – over 70% of containers handled at the port can now be tracked to their owner, along with any specific requirements the owner has for their goods.
