Transporeon launches freight exchange offering
[ April 9, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Transportation management platform Transporeon has extended its offering to include the forwarder-to-carrier spot road freight market. While Transporeon’s platform facilitates connections within its own network, the move is an entry into the traditional freight exchange segment. It says it offers a modern, efficient alternative to established freight exchanges, leveraging its technological foundation and user base.
It provides free access for forwarders posting shipments, and a flat monthly fee of €100 for carriers, regardless of company size or user count. This typically represents an average 50% cost savings compared to other incumbent platforms, it says.
It also offers AI-powered verification with automated checks of carrier identity and insurance details replacing manual processes, while price negotiation occurs directly within the platform, with access to anonymised market rate benchmarks and trends.
