TT Club reveals safety winners

TT Club revealed the winners of its Innovation in Safety Award in London on 26 February, hosted by the International Cargo Handling Association (ICHCA).

The Turning data into insight prize went to Voxel for its AI powered worksite visibility platform. Pandora Intelligence was highly commended for its Cargo Intelligence: Data-driven risk assessment of shipments.

Winner of the Learning and engagement award were the International Transport Workers’ Federation and ITF Seafarers’ Trust for its International App-based worker training programme

Port Skills and Safety was highly commended for its Emergency Flash Cards.

The top Making operations safer prize was won by RAM Spreaders for its Automatic pipe handling spreader while CEPA cv was highly commended for its Ergonomic lashing tool

The Segregating people and machine award winner was Straatman Mooring Systems for its Permanent bollard with sensors while SSA Marine was highly commended for its AI driven RTG camera system.

ICHCA chief executive Richard Steele commented: “As ever the judging panel felt that all the original ideas were worthy of congratulations, and further exposure.  A complete Innovation in Safety Award Digest detailing all entries will therefore be once more published by ICHCA & TT in the near future.”

TT’s Managing Director, Loss Prevention Mike Yarwood commented: “The excellence of these , and many of the other innovations put forward deserve a greater degree of visibility. This is our prime aim in proliferating the Awards in order to encourage our innovators to seek scalability, and by giving their ideas oxygen to stimulate their adoption and adaption by others within the global cargo handling environment.”
