Two million teu through Adriatic Gate
[ June 10, 2021 // Chris ]Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), International Container Terminal Services’Croatian subsidiary at the Port of Rijeka has handled a cumulative 2million teu as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Rail operations have grown significantly, with its share increasing to 42% and rail volume by more than 50% over the last two years, said AGCT chief executive Emmanuel Papagiannakis.
The company has acquired new equipment including quay cranes, rubber tired and rail-mounted gantries, and expanded the berth and yard, which doubled the terminal’s total annual capacity.
