UK lands in Euro-court over NI Protocol ‘breach’
[ March 15, 2021 // Chris ]As widely expected, the EU has taken legal action against the UK over its breach of the Northern Ireland Protocol. It stems from the UK’s decision to extend the grace period covering new checks on parcels, food and agri shipments moving from mainland GB to Northern Ireland. The move follows a warning last week by EU chief Brexit negotiator, Maroš Šefčovič, that “infringement proceedings” were being prepared.
