Virgin goes to Detroit

Detroit will become Virgin Atlantic Cargo’s eleventh North American destination on 1 June with the start of daily flights to and from London Heathrow. The Airbus A330 flight will offer over 16 tonnes of capacity in both directions. Detroit is Virgin Atlantic’s second new US destination in the last eight months, following the addition of Atlanta in October. A second daily London-Atlanta service started at the end of March as well as a new daily non-stop flight connecting Manchester and Atlanta.
