Virus is spur to digital shipping

The coronavirus pandemic is proving a catalyst for shipping digitalization, according to Freight Technologies Market Analysis by transport management systems firm, Haven. Some 42% of survey takers reported they were now looking to upgrade their systems by investing in the further digitalization of their international shipment processes, with 37% were looking to upgrade in the next 1-3 years. However, they also reported obstacles to implementation including cost, a lack of adequate technology, a lack of internal expertise or resources or a lack of support from leadership.
