We’re here to ease S&S pain, says Derry Bros

[ January 27, 2025   //   ]

Customs clearance specialist Derry Bros says it can cut the cost of new GB Safety & Security (S&S) import controls by up to 50% as well as avoid any delays and penalties.

It says  it has invested heavily in digital infrastructure over the past 12 months

Head of operations and sales, Colin Robb, said: “We can ensure they mitigate potential risk, gain competitive advantage and continue to operate smoothly by achieving the highest levels of compliance in the most affordable manner.”

From 31 January 2025, S&S clearance will become mandatory for all goods entering Great Britain as part of the UK government’s plan to strengthen border controls and ensure that imported goods meet safety and security standards. Failure to comply with the declaration requirement could result in significant delays as well as penalties and rejection of goods at the border.
