Westjet extends pet services to UK as dogs have their day

Canadian airline WestJet Cargo has expanded of its pet transportation services to London Heathrow, Gatwick and Edinburgh to mark International Dog Day on 26 August. The service is tailored to meet the specific needs of all pets, including brachycephalic breeds (flat faced dogs such as bulldogs and mastiffs that have a higher risk of breathing difficulties in flight), which require special attention during air travel. All pet transport is in pressurized, temperature-controlled cargo holds and owners are given comprehensive pre-flight preparation guidelines.
