Widening work in Liverpool
[ August 28, 2013 // Chris ]Peel Ports has appointed Farrans Construction to upgrade Gladstone Lock and the adjacent quayside infrastructure at the Port of Liverpool, ahead of the launch of the port’s deep water container terminal Liverpool2 in 2015. The increasing size of modern vessels has led to a need to increase the width of the Seaforth passage to improve turnaround times within tidal windows.
