Wind power on the move in Scotland
[ August 26, 2020 // Chris ]Heavy haulier Collett has started to move 15 Vestas V100 wind turbines from Glasgow’s King George V Dock to the Solwaybank site near Gretna. The port of Grangemouth is also being used to store material for the scheme.
Collett is using four axle extendable flat trailers and specialist Scheuerle clamp trailers, designed specifically for the transport of wind turbine towers.
Each turbine consists of 49 metre long blades and 75 metre towers.
