Winning women
[ September 25, 2013 // Chris ]The winners of the 2013 Women in Logistics UK awards were revealed on 20 September at a Women in Logistics founder, Ruth Waring said the number of entries to this year’s awards had increased threefold with almost 6000 votes cast to decide the winners.
She said “The winning companies and individuals showed real thought leadership on gender equality, and had a clear vision for the future.” Company of the Year award 2013 (sponsored by The Forton Group), went to Royal Mail, with 85% of the vote; SME of the Year Award 2013 (sponsored by Pepsico) was BiS Henderson.
In the individual categories, which were shortlisted by Professor Richard Wilding of Cranfield University, Danielle Kozlowska from Tesco was Woman of the Year (sponsored by Search Consultancy) and Rebecca Smith from Norbert Dentressangle was awarded Young Woman of the Year (sponsored by Manpower).
