Work starts on Frankfurt Airport truck park – updated

Frankfurt airport operator Fraport has started work on a new truck park at CargoCity South. The 14,500sq m lot is near Airport Gate 32 and will provide space for another 61 trucks, bringing the total truck parking spaces available at CargoCity South to 135. The plans include state-of-the-art sanitary facilities with shower rooms for the drivers. It is set to be operational by the end of 2021.

Fraport is also adding two refrigerated trailers to its fleet for cross-apron movement of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products, taking its total such vehicles to 20. They allow transportation in a range of between minus 20 and plus 30 degrees Celsius.
