Writing the book on pallets

Anand Assi, project director at palletised freight network Pall-Ex, has just received a Doctorate in Business Administration from Aston Business School for his thesis on ‘hub and spoke’ palletised freight.

He is currently spearheading the European expansion of the Leicestershire-based operator With Pall-Ex Italia, Pall-Ex Iberia, Pall-Ex Romania and Pall-Ex France all up and running, Pall-Ex Polska is also due to launch before the end of the year to create a pan-European network.

Anand himself says “I thoroughly enjoyed the work I have put in and the sense of achievement having received my Doctorate is fantastic. My thesis was inspired by the work that Pall-Ex is doing and I have developed a deep theoretical understanding of the industry. I would like to thank the Pall-Ex board for their on-going sponsorship, guidance and support throughout the research and writing of my thesis.”
